Ingredients

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)
  • 2 eggs
  • Zest of 2 lemons
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon of rosemary
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Prepare a baking mold and lightly grease it or line it with baking paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix softened butter and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time and beat them well into the mixture.
  3. Add the zest and juice of two lemons, dried rosemary, milk and a pinch of salt. Mix all ingredients until well combined.
  4. Gradually add flour and baking powder to the mixture and mix until you get a smooth dough.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking mold and level the surface.
  6. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until it turns golden brown and when you insert a toothpick into the center of the cake, it comes out dry.
